Carlsbad

The city of Carlsbad is a unique coastal community located 35 miles north of downtown San Diego.

Surrounded by mountains and nestled between the Pacific Ocean and two lovely lagoons – Batiquitos to the south and Buena Vista to the north– it is no wonder that Carlsbad is home to top-rated resorts, such as the La Costa Resort & Spa and the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort. With its diverse nature and the wonderful weather all year round, you will never be short on things to do in Carlsbad.

In addition to the two boarding lagoons, Aqua Hedionda in the middle of Carlsbad is a popular spot to enjoy all kinds of water sports. With 7 miles of beautiful coastline, Carlsbad boasts some of the finest beaches in San Diego, along with world class golfing and shopping. There is plenty of shopping to be found at the outlet stores and in Carlsbad Village, its downtown area just off the beach. Carlsbad is home to Legoland, an amusement park with more than 60 rides, shows and attractions featuring Legos, the famous building toys.

Carlsbad Village is filled with boutiques, antique shops, salons, restaurants, cafes and more. Regular events take place in the Carlsbad Village, including the Farmer’s Market, Coast Art Walk, Flavors of the Village Restaurant Week, and the Carlsbad Village Street Fair. Every spring, thousands visit the Flower Fields in Carlsbad to take photos in the midst of the stunning blooms. Carlsbad is also home to Legoland California, a popular theme park attraction for families with small children. Businesses in the golf equipment & apparel industries and high-tech companies surround Palomar Airport, highlighting that Carlsbad is more than just fun in the sun.

Carlsbad is a great place to raise a family or live the single life. Carlsbad offers everything from starter condominiums to luxury homes to beach front apartments and time shares. There are many different areas and zip codes in this large city of Carlsbad. Aviara Resort hosts numerous events throughout the year that are enjoyed by its neighboring homeowners. Carlsbad residents will likely attend schools in either the Carlsbad Unified School District or the San Marcos Unified School District, with a smaller percentage attending the San Dieguito High School District. With so many different neighborhoods, events, and attractions, Carlsbad offers something for everyone.
