Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 20, 2025
Version: 2025.10

1. Information We Collect

We receive and store any information you enter on our Website, mobile applications, or provide in any other way. This includes information that can identify you, such as your first and last name, telephone number, postal and email addresses, user name and password, mobile opt-in consent data, billing information (such as your credit card number, cardholder name, and card expiration date) (collectively, “Personal Information”).
We may also request information about your mission plans, location, categories, members, and preferences, including skills, resources and other information (collectively, “Non-Personal Information”). You can choose not to provide information to us; however, in general, some information is required in order for you to receive relevant offerings from AARE and enjoy the benefits of being a registered member of AARE.

2. Automatic and Device Information

When you use our Website or a mobile Application, we automatically collect certain information from your computer or device. For example, we collect session data including IP address, browser software, referring website, content viewed, pages visited, and searches or reservations made. When you use our Application and if you permit access, we may collect location information, device identifiers, and other mobile device information.

3. Cookies and Other Web Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to recognise your browser or device as a previous user or visitor, save preferences, customise content and advertisements, and measure effectiveness of our features and communications. See the section “Display of Advertising/Your Choices” below for more information about our online advertising practices and your choices.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate our business and deliver the services you request. This includes account management, membership communications, event registration, content publication, donations facilitation, customer service, and to improve our website and mobile applications.

If you have opted in, we also use your information to send marketing communications, event reminders, and educational or promotional content that may be of interest to you.

We may communicate with you via email, phone, postal mail, and text/SMS messaging (where you have provided consent). These text communications may include updates, reminders, and marketing information related to your selections during the opt-in process.

For details about how we collect, store, and use mobile numbers and consent data—including your rights to withdraw consent—please see the “SMS/Text Messaging Consent” section of this policy.

Mobile opt-in data and consent information are never shared, sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties for their own marketing or promotional use. We may share limited data with service providers who deliver messages on our behalf under strict confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

5. SMS/Text Messaging Consent

When you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to receive text messages from AARE, you consent to receiving recurring messages related to the categories you select, which may include marketing messages, event reminders, and customer care communications.

Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any AARE text message, or request assistance by replying HELP.

We will use your mobile number and consent data solely to send text messages you have explicitly agreed to receive. Mobile opt-in data and consent information will not be shared, sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share your number only with trusted service providers who deliver messages on our behalf, and they are contractually required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information.

To update your messaging preferences or withdraw consent, contact us at media@aare.com or follow the opt-out instructions provided in our texts.

If you previously opted in to receive text messages and wish to revoke consent, you can do so at any time using the methods described above.

6. How We Protect Your Information

We implement security measures, including encryption, firewalls, and other industry-standard safeguards, to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

7. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your Personal Information. We will not share your mobile opt-in phone number or texting consent with third parties except as described in Section 4. We may share certain Personal Information with our affiliates or service providers who assist us with operating the website, the mobile app, sending communications, organising events, or fulfilling our member services. These parties are bound by contract to protect your information. We may also disclose Personal Information when required by law or to protect our rights and property.

8. International Data Transfers

If you access our services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed and stored in the U.S. by AARE or its service providers. By using our services, you consent to such transfer. We take steps to ensure that your information remains protected as required under applicable law.

AARE is a general audience site and does not target services to children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us personal information, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible. If you are under-18 in your state/country, please review your parent/guardian’s permission for use of our services.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your Personal Information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your information. California residents have the rights defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). To exercise any of these rights, or to ask about our disclosure of your information for direct marketing purposes, please contact us at the address below.
