Kathy Barkdull is a dream-real-estate agent! We met through a mutual friend’s referral several years before I sold this property. She came over to my house and gave me an idea of what to do/how to do it/and a price if I wanted to sell. We talked about remodeling and selling, selling to a contractor to remodel and keeping the home for a better market which is what we ended up doing. When we thought the timing was better, she listed my property after showing me other comps in the area and after a discussion of a game plan. The home was appraised much higher than I originally thought so we listed it high and waited. We did not have enough action at the listed price, but a lot of lower offers. She did her homework and came up with a good potential price. It ended up selling for this price, but I did have a buyer drop out and my final buyer in a “yes-no” situation for a while. Kathy stayed in touch with me the entire time, answering my endless questions and easing my mind while being staunch in her negotiations. At the same time, she was also looking for a new property for me so I could do a 1031 exchange. Timing was key here and escrows needed to close on a very tight schedule. Since I lived a distance away, she often met me on my schedule which was very appreciated. She had her Title Company making all the deadlines with time to spare and we had a very successful outcome!
