How It Works
The Generous Giving Program transforms real estate transactions into charitable contributions. A potential buyer or seller designates their charity of choice through the Generous Giving Program and then the client selects an approved Generous Giving AARE agent. Once the transaction is completed, a portion of the company’s and agent’s commission is donated to a nonprofit organization. This model empowers both the community and those involved, making it simple to support meaningful causes at no cost to the client.
Designed for Flexibility
One standout feature of this program is its flexibility. AARE’s network of agents covers residential and commercial real estate across the United States, meaning individuals all over the country can participate. Donation amounts are based on the value of the transaction, with contributions typically ranging from $2,500 to $20,000. This flexible, scalable model allows organizations of all sizes and focuses to benefit from substantial financial support.
A Retrospective on Generous Giving Donations
Since its inception, the Generous Giving Program has provided critical support to a variety of nonprofit organizations across the country. Here are some highlights:
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes: Through one transaction in 2018, real estate pro, Gary Giffin donated over $13,000 to empower young athletes through faith-based mentoring programs. This significant contribution underscores AARE’s dedication to nurturing youth and supporting positive growth within communities.
- UPLIFT San Diego: Through the Generous Giving Program, Gary Giffin has also supported UPLIFT San Diego, an organization dedicated to improving community equity by offering housing and academic services to vulnerable populations. Across four transactions, Gary donated $18,203 to this local organization.
- The Promise Church: AARE Broker Associate, Andrew Thorne made several contributions to The Promise Church, a Spirit-filled community church in Escondido, California, dedicated to developing passionate believers in Jesus Christ. Totaling $42,928.75, these donations aid their mission of providing anointed teaching, powerful worship, and dynamic ministries for all ages.
- Wounded Warrior Homes: Since the advent of the program, real estate professional, Mindi Landry has been a pioneer of the Generous Giving Program. Through four transactions across 2018-2023, Mindi has donated a total of $20,977 to assist veterans in need, providing essential housing and resources for those who have served our country.
- Escondido Adventist Academy: In 2022, AARE REALTOR® Barbara Marsh made a donation of $21,932 to Escondido Adventist Academy through the Generous Giving Program, supporting students in need of financial assistance and affirming the school’s mission to educate the head, the hand, and the heart.
These donations are a few of the numerous contributions made over the years, illustrating the substantial, positive impact made possible through the program. Each donation not only supports a worthy cause that both the client and agent truly care about, but also builds a legacy of kindness and community-centered action. To date, the program has donated more than $160,000 to regional and national nonprofits.
How to Participate as an Organization
- Join the Program: To get started with the Generous Giving Program, reach out to your preferred AARE agent or call our dedicated hotline at 619-GIVE-777. Our team will guide you through the onboarding process.
- Share the News: When a donor or someone you know plans to buy or sell a property, share the Generous Giving program and ask them to consider working with an AARE.
- Create Impact: If the client chooses to work with an AARE agent and once the transaction closes, AARE donates a portion of the commission on your behalf to your organization, allowing you to support your cause simply by using or connecting people with quality real estate services.
How to Participate as an Agent
- Connect with Organizations: Begin reaching out to causes you care about and share the impact they can achieve by joining the program. Once an organization is interested, call 619-GIVE-777 to initiate the onboarding process.
- Complete the Agreement: Complete the Generous Giving Agreement to commit to donating a portion of your commission upon closing.
- Deliver Your Exceptional Services: Once someone in the organization introduces a client to you, present and provide your top-quality real estate services. After closing, a portion of the commission will be donated to the cause you love.
